Minimum participation level: A1 – A2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The lesson materials are in Italian. The teacher is a native Italian speaker and also speaks English. Annual registration fee: €35.
With IDL+, you have the opportunity to retake the course within 6 months or to get 3 hours of one-on-one lessons with a teacher at your disposal! If you feel uncertain before the exam or think a review would be helpful, this is the perfect option for you!

The IDL manual was created by directors Benedetta Triulzi and Anita Lorenzotti to help foreign students pass the theory test. It covers topics such as: the road, vehicles, traffic signs, right of way, traffic rules, behavior in case of an accident, insurance, and much more.
You will learn the topics through vocabulary activities, videos, and memory games. You’ll have the chance to practice plenty of quizzes, both individually and in groups, focus on your study, and finally pass the exam.
The handbook is also designed for those who have reading difficulties.
What is the Mangiaparole (IDL) Italian Driving License Course for Foreigners ?
The Italian driving license course (IDL) is designed for adults who want to take the theory exam for the B license. After one year of residence in Italy, if you come from a country outside the European Community*, you must obtain an Italian driving license to continue driving in compliance with the Highway Code.
