Posted on Google
Gastor temu30 September 2026Cordial Greetings: I would like to take this opportunity to thank you wholeheartedly for your time and dedication in teaching us Italian Language and Culture. We really enjoyed your excellent lessons, whereby now we are able to express ourselves well. However, we are continuing learning it daily. In a special way we really thank our dear Teacher Debora for her time, dedication and patience in teaching us. Nevertheless, we are grateful to you for your offer which you gave us, a trip to visit Villa Pamphillj. It was really nice and experiential; and for me, it was the first villa to visit in Italy. Thank you all. Wishing you well and God's Choicest Blessings, in your daily endeavours, I remain, In Christ, Fr. Gastor Bahati Temu.Posted on Google

Princess Capps19 September 2026I purchased the 20 hour one-on-one lessons through Mangiaparole, specifically to sit for the B1 exam for citizenship. For context, i’ve lived in Italy for 5 years and took classes / had tutoring before we moved here. I even completed 2 years at the local CPIA. I am 3 hours from Rome in Molise so all the lessons were online. The teacher assigned to me, Naomi was wonderful. After registering to sit for the B1, and time went on, we realized I had 1 lesson left that Naomi was not able to attend due to scheduling conflicts. With that, Mangiaparole assigned another teacher, Laura, to help prepare me for the speaking part of the test. Some of the tips Laura provided me were exactly what i needed to do for the speaking portion of the test. Overall, would 100% recommend Mangiaparole! Oh and yes, ho superato l’esame! 😊Posted on Google

Thank you so much Laura for your encouragement and kindness :)Posted on Google

Barbara Horton Lees17 July 2026I’ve driven for over 50 years in the US. I do not speak Italian but my residency required an Italian license after 1 year.I tried other driving school programs in English (and failed the theory exam twice). Third time is a charm. Mangiaparole is intense but in a few weeks I had enough language skills to pass the theory exam! I just passed the practical!! Thank you for a structure program with great tips for success!Posted on Google
Lisa Hall17 July 2026Mangiaparole did an amazing job preparing me to pass the exam for the Italian Drivers License. I was worried that my comprehension wasn’t where it needed to be - but my instructor was fantastic. I found I was understanding everything she said - she spoke at a level and pace that was very comfortable for non-native speakers and gave us all the tools needed to continue studying on our own. I couldn’t have done it without them!Posted on Google

Posted on Google

Philip Black9 April 2026We relocated to Italy year ago from London and were obliged to retake the Italian driving test. Using a local driving school and the driving manual, we failed the first test. Then we found Mangiaparole - Language school and the driving instructor team. We had the greatest pleasure to be assigned Laura who helped us with 12 lessons delivered in a digestible way. Laura was patient, thoughtful and very experienced. That’s not to say the test was easier (it’s super tricky) but Laura helped us prepare, what to look out for, where to focus and how best to study. We ended up studying 40+ hours ourselves but it paid off in the end. We passed! Thanks to Laura and the team at Mangiaparole. 5 stars 🌟Posted on Google

Posted on Google

Anna Zsoldos29 September 2025I just passed my theory exam for obtaining my Italian drivers licence - phew and yay! My success is definitely due to having done the intensive IDL Italian for Driver’s Licence with Silvano earlier this year. This course gave me such a solid base which I know I would have struggled to get by studying alone. Being able to converse and confirm details in English was the game changer! So thank you, thank you, thank you Mangiaparole…I can’t recommend this course enough. Absolutely super.Posted on Google

Posted on Google
Chuck Stevens8 September 2025I highly recommend Mangiaparole Language School if you are having trouble studying for the Italian driving quiz. My Italian is very little at best. So I decided to book private lessons with Laura Pasquetti. I was struggling to understand some of the more difficult sections of the driving manual. Laura was so patient with me and truly helped me overcome some of the hardest questions and truly understand. I wish I would have done it sooner. I didn't pass on the first test but that was because of being nervous and not understanding what was going on. I had the knowledge I needed to pass. Laura was the best coach and was always there for me to answer any questions. She was so supportive. So the 2nd time I took the quiz I passed with only one error. What a relief. I couldn't have done it without her guidance.Posted on Google
Elizabeth Hollowell31 July 2025It was a great experience with majority of the teaching being done in Italian, but clarification in English when it was needed. Strongly recommend this for any English speakers looking to take the Italian theory driving test!Posted on Google
Brendan Bancroft31 July 2025This was the best language class I have taken. I took the class for the intensive Patente B which was a 4 week course (usually 6 weeks I think). The first class was on the 30th of June and I received my foglio rosa on the 30th of July. Laura is an incredible teacher and would recommend to anyone who has to go through this terrifying journey for the driver's license. My only advise is to expect to spend many hours while you prepare yourself for the exam (luckily I had just left my job and awaiting my next one). Laura is an expert on all the topics so if you have available time to put in the work and study, she will definitely give you the tools to pass the theory exam!Posted on Google

Frank Chiachiere14 November 2024I have been studying Italian with Mangiaparole for thirty sessions. I am not a native speaker; I started my study with a cursory knowledge of Italian gleaned from being fluent in Spanish. I have worked with Daniela for the past twenty weeks and today I signed on with her for another ten week session. Daniela, is patient, kind and allows for myriad questions. The director, Francesca Ruberti, is efficient at the enrollment process. Short of moving to Italy or enrolling in a college level course, working with Mangiaparole should meet your needs as a second language student. They certainly meet mine.Posted on Google

Posted on Google

Rebecca Lyles26 March 2024I did the driving license course with them online, and it was the perfect kickstart to studying for my foglio rosa. Although my Italian is quite good, getting my driver's license all over again in another country felt overwhelming to me, and it was nice to begin the process with people who were in the same boat. Benedetta was always patient with the students who were struggling with the language too. Our class got lots of practice doing quizzes -- which was essential -- and working together in the breakout rooms. Although the PDF of materials we received was quite lengthy, I would still recommend that future students purchase an official driver's manual to study the material that isn't covered in class (the ages at which you can get different licenses, weight limits for towing, some of the street signs, etc. that you just have to memorize on your own). It's also useful to download one of the apps to do quizzes on the topics already covered in class. The questions I got on my written exam were a mix of questions I remembered doing in class, questions I remembered from the app, and new questions. Benedetta had encouraged us to sign up for the exam sooner rather than later so we wouldn't run out of steam and forget everything we'd studied. I was nervous to jump in so soon, but I followed her advice and signed up for the exam 2 weeks after the end of the course. With that deadline in mind, I kicked myself into high gear and started studying like a maniac. I completed two books of quizzes and did over 2,000 quizzes on the app. I became extremely familiar with the trick questions and the patterns that this course had introduced us to. And, sure enough, I passed my exam with flying colors! I only wish I could do the driving portion with Mangiaparole as well.Posted on Google

Posted on Google

I loved the zoom option with kind and a funny teacher who also knew some English for when I got stuck! Francesca was timely in responses to emails and very friendly, also helping us with solutions to unusual problems that arose in our schedules and personal situation. I think the curriculum could improve since it didn’t follow the basic pattern of introducing a concept, practicing it and then being quizzed. I found it to be more difficult because it all seemed like quizzing whether I knew the concept or not. There could be improvement in taking more time to introduce, memorize, practice and THEN quiz. Otherwise loved it. Was too difficult though for my true beginner husband who couldn’t even understand the instructions and therefore automatically did everything wrong! I had to sit in on lessons to translate and coach him on what was wanted. Some English for basic level one would be very helpful especially in the instructionsPosted on Google

GilbertPosted on Google

Robbi18 June 2022I took this class 8 months ago ... I took my (written) patente exame 4 days ago and got zero errors. :) Your class was a great booster, and gave me a great head-start. I wouldn''t have been ready at all to take that exam direcly after the Mangiaparole class, though, because I didn't know enough italian, nor had I begun to take practice exams on-line. After 1100 tests (33,000 questions) I was ready ... thank you for helping me learn about the patente!Posted on Google

Benjamin Adair Murphy14 January 2022I highly recommend Anita! We worked together in Italy, and I can honestly say that she has been one of my favorite language teachers (I need to learn a new language every few years for my work). She has a natural talent for making her language classes fun, and she knows how to find interesting discussion topics based on a student’s interests. She knows how to challenge her students when she sees a deficiency which needs to be addressed, but she is also patient and understanding if a student needs additional time for comprehension or pronunciation. Anita is an amazing teacher, and I highly recommend her to anyone at any skill level.Posted on Google

Julia D6 August 2021I took online lessons with Benedetta from the Netherlands. The advantage was a flexible schedule and very advantageous pricing options the school offers. Not talking about the quality of teaching - not only Italian language but also pedagogical approaches to make sure that students learn according to their needs in an individual way most suitable for them. For example, being a professional linguist I had a language barrier as I was afraid to make mistakes while speaking Italian and the best way not to make mistakes for me was not to speak at all or speak very little :-) Benedetta managed to turn this around and teach me how to speak Italian more freely and correctly. Highly recommend to work with the school and this gifted teacher!Posted on Google
