The IDL manual was created by directors Benedetta Triulzi and Anita Lorenzotti to help foreign students pass the theory test. It covers topics such as: the road, vehicles, traffic signs, right of way, traffic rules, behavior in case of an accident, insurance, and much more.
You will learn the topics through vocabulary activities, videos, and memory games. You’ll have the chance to practice plenty of quizzes, both individually and in groups, focus on your study, and finally pass the exam.
The handbook is also designed for those who have reading difficulties.
Why do you need the IDL course for the B license?

CAN I CONVERT MY LICENSE IN ITALY?
If you live in Italy or plan to move and want to drive legally, you need to get an Italian driving license! If your license was issued by one of the European Union countries, there are no issues: the license is the same, and you do not need to convert it or take an exam.
WHAT IS YOUR ITALIAN LEVEL?
If you are not a beginner, take the free level test. The first questions are simple, and the difficulty level increases as you progress. Answer only the questions you know, and we’ll take care of the rest! Write to [email protected] to schedule a video call on WhatsApp with an experienced teacher to complete your evaluation. Don’t worry—the video call is not an exam. It lasts a maximum of 5-10 minutes!
Completing the IDL course does not replace the theory exam at a driving school or DMV.
*Click here to check if your country has a driving license recognition agreement with Italy. If so, you can simply convert your license at the DMV Office. Otherwise, if your country does not have an agreement, during your first year of residence in Italy, you can drive with your international license, but after that, you will need to take the theory test and the driving exam in Italian.

IDL is a dynamic, engaging language course and essential if you want to get the B license and improve your Italian. In class, you’ll be able to interact with your international classmates who are in the same situation, and if you have any doubts, just ask the teacher! The IDL course is a high-quality program!
HOW CAN I LEARN ITALIAN TO PASS THE EXAM QUICKLY?
There is no quick way. There is an effective way! Chi va piano, va sano e va lontano—this saying doesn’t just apply to driving, but also to learning Italian. It means that the true secret is consistency and determination, which, with patience, will help you achieve your goals. If you need to get the Italian license and overcome every obstacle, if you feel discouraged, worried, and overwhelmed by the language barrier, this course is for you!
IN WHICH LANGUAGES CAN I TAKE THE ITALIAN DRIVING LICENSE THEORY EXAM (PATENTE B)?
The theory exam can be taken in Italian, as well as French and German upon request, but not in English. So if you need help, count on us. Enroll in the Italian driving license course for foreigners today!
