Hello! My name is Linda Tamborrino.
Teaching Italian as a second language began almost naturally during my studies in History and Anthropology. Since then, it has become a profession that I pursue with passion and enthusiasm. It continues to enrich me every day, thanks to meeting people, languages, and cultures from all over the world.
Throughout my career, I have had the good fortune to teach very diverse students: children in public schools, individuals welcomed in immigration centers, professionals, tourists, religious members, and university students. Every experience has taught me that there is no single way to learn a language. Each student brings their own story, expectations, and goals, and that is exactly where our work together begins.
For this reason, I try to create a serene, welcoming, and stimulating environment, where everyone feels free to experiment, ask questions, and learn without fear of making mistakes. I believe that language is much more than a set of grammatical rules: it is a tool to communicate, build relationships, understand a culture, and feel part of a new reality.
Over the years, I have obtained the DITALS certification, and I collaborate as a CELI examiner and CILS administrator. I continue to train and update my skills because I consider professional growth an integral part of my work. I also hold a computer certification and have a B2 level knowledge of the English language.
My humanities background continues to influence my way of teaching. I love to intertwine language with history, art, traditions, and aspects of daily life, so that each lesson also becomes an opportunity to discover Italy in its cultural and human richness.
When I am not teaching, I like to dedicate my time to walking through cities of art and places rich in history, to good food, and to moments of conviviality with friends and family. The sea is the place where I find energy and inspiration. I am convinced that curiosity, listening, and the pleasure of discovery are fundamental qualities, both in life and in teaching.
My work experiences:
- Teaching Italian in public schools.
- Educational activity in schools run by solidarity and humanitarian associations.
- Teaching in private Italian schools for foreigners.
- Teaching at pontifical universities.
- Training activity in general houses of religious congregations.
