Ciao! My name is Naomi. I am a native Italian teacher for foreigners. After obtaining my high school major in humanities, I earned a BA degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Bergamo, Italy which fueled my passion for interacting with people from different languages and cultures. This allowed me to explore my curiosity and create authentic connections through communication.

I obtained the CEDILS certification (Certification in Teaching Italian to Foreigners) from the University of Venice, Italy which prepared me to teach Italian using innovative and modern methods.

Currently, I live in Bergamo, in Northern Italy. I teach Italian both in person at a school in Milan and online. Teaching is my great passion because it allows me to share the beauty of the Italian language and culture with people from all over the world.

Living abroad has deeply enriched my professional and personal life. I was in London, UK, where I improved my English; I spent two months in Malatya, Turkey where I joined the Erasmus teaching program. These experiences allowed me to practice both English and learn some Turkish while immersing myself in a fascinating and completely different culture from my own. I have a basic knowledge of Spanish (I’ve also lived in Madrid, Spain), and I would love to learn Arabic, a language that fascinates me for its beauty and complexity.

Languages are one of my greatest passions: I love studying them and discovering their nuances. I am also learning Norwegian, driven by my love for the mountains and cold places, and my desire to visit the amazing Norway.

Writing is another passion of mine. I would write every day. I have written numerous articles for my university’s newspaper and worked at a newspaper editorial office. Literature, poetry, and mystery stories are among my favorite genres. When I am not teaching or writing, I love spending time outdoors. I enjoy the mountains, and climbing is a thrilling challenge that I find both inspiring and regenerating.

My dream is to continue traveling and discovering new cultures, enriching my experience while sharing my love for teaching the Italian language everywhere I go. One day, I would love to publish a novel for Italian learners.

My favorite dish is the simplest of all: spaghetti with tomato sauce and basil, a timeless classic of Italian cuisine!
