Ciao! My name is Valentina. I have always lived in Rome, where I graduated from “La Sapienza” University with a degree in Philosophy of Language. I specialized in teaching Italian to foreigners, earning the DITALS II certification from the University for Foreigners of Siena, and became an examiner for the CELI (Certificato di conoscenza della lingua italiana) and PLIDA (Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri) Italian language certification exams.
Teaching Italian is my true passion. In class I love to share my enthusiasm for art, literature, and my country’s history. Interacting with students from different cultures broadens my perspective and renews my excitement for my beautiful job every day.
In class I use the communicative method where students can benefit from a personalized path based on their learning needs and discover the language in an engaging and fun way. I teach in person and online to all levels, and in different settings, including universities. I also volunteer as a teacher in associations for immigrants.
My passions? Dance, in all its forms, literature, and traveling.
My favorite food? Gelato—I have an incurable sweet tooth!
