Hello everyone! My name is Valeria, and I’m excited to introduce myself to you. I hold a degree in Classical Literature from the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy at the University of Perugia. Additionally, I completed a Masters in Management Development at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome. My passion for teaching Italian as a second language led me to specialize in this field. I am a certified CELI and CEDIS examiner from the University for Foreigners of Perugia, as well as a holder of the 1st level Ditals Certification from the University for Foreigners of Siena.
I firmly believe in a shared, personalized, and comprehensive teaching approach that leads to developing all language skills and competences. What I particularly enjoy about my profession is the opportunity it provides to establish mutual trust with my students and explore different countries and cultures through their stories. Being in contact with people from all over the world and guiding them through the knowledge of the Italian language is an incredibly rewarding experience!
My goal is to empower students to become independent when it comes to communicating, studying, working, and traveling in Italy. I use authentic materials about Italian society, culture and updated trends. My lessons are characterized by great energy, curiosity and rhythm. In addition, I consider myself a friendly teacher and always willing to get feedback. I look forward to embarking on this Italian language journey together!
My favorite Italian dish is: carbonara!
Fun fact: I love reading, especially history. I love languages. I studied Latin and Ancient Greek and I am currently a member of an English language book club. Furthermore, I hold a 1st level wine expert diploma, and I have a great appreciation for good food, cinema, and jazz music.
